## 18.1 Introduction

In this document we work out basic notions of sheaves of modules on ringed topoi or ringed sites. We first work out some basic facts on abelian sheaves. After this we introduce ringed sites and ringed topoi. We work through some of the very basic notions on (pre)sheaves of $\mathcal{O}$-modules, analogous to the material on (pre)sheaves of $\mathcal{O}$-modules in the chapter on sheaves on spaces. Having done this, we duplicate much of the discussion in the chapter on sheaves of modules (see Modules, Section 17.1). Basic references are [FAC], [EGA] and [SGA4].
