Definition 55.3.12. We say the numerical type $n, m_ i, a_{ij}, w_ i, g_ i$ of genus $g$ is minimal if there does not exist an $i$ with $g_ i = 0$ and $a_{ii} = -w_ i$, in other words, if there does not exist a $(-1)$-index.
